Why We Raise Funds
Sunrise Rotary is committed to strengthening our local community through direct grant support. Funds raised from this event are distributed throughout the next year to nonprofit organizations that serve individuals and families in need throughout the El Paso region.
By participating, you are investing in programs that provide safety, food security, housing support, youth development, and family services.

Our annual fund-raising event enables us to donate money to various local not-for-profit organizations including YWCA Transitional Living Center, Kelly Center for Hunger Relief, Ronald McDonald House, Child Crisis Center of El Paso, YMCA Community Garden, Moms On Board (All Abilities Playground project), Center Against Sexual and Family Violence, Armed Forces YMCA Jr Enlisted Service Center, as well as scholarships for teens to attend Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) camp in the summer.
Another outstanding aspect of this tournament is the opportunity for military personnel including families of deployed soldiers to participate, thanks to the generosity of sponsors. We have 36 teams, the vast majority of which are donated to military personnel including several teams of foreign Sgt. Majors studying at Ft. Bliss. We have 144 players present on the day of our event.
